TITANIUM MAN — SIX MONTHS ON

It's now been six months since yours truly had his left hip replaced with a new model by Stryker.  Thanks again to Dr. William Leone and Physician Assistant Susan Simonton and the team at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale.  I'm back walking, swimming and golfing — pain free.  Life is good!

Rest In Peace — Geoffrey Wiener

On Sunday 12-Feb-2012, my friend Geoff Wiener perished in an aircraft accident in Bukavu, Democratic Republic of the Congo.  The details of the accident are still emerging.

Geoff was a retired software engineer, open-wheeled racer, hobby store owner, and most recently, a corporate pilot.  He died doing something he loved. Condolences to his family and friends, especially his cousin Ira.  May Geoff rest in peace.

HOW TO REACH 15,000 FEDERAL ASSISTANCE AUDITORS BY MAIL, PHONE, AND E-MAIL

Ron has just completed work on a new list of 15,334 senior-level accountants who have recently performed Federal Assistance audits.  These auditors have audited state, local, and tribal governments as well as educational and non-profit organizations as required by the U.S. Government Accountability Office.
